This machine's function is to supply stirring work, by means of a rotating impeller in water based mineral slurries, with added abrasive media. The purpose of this work input is to reduce particle size and delaminate mineral particles. Attrition also causes particle rounding, reduces abrasivity, with increased shape factor, brightness and changes particle size distribution.

The Pilot Mill PM400FS is rated for continuous testing and research on small scale production batches of Mineral or Metalliferous slurries.

A wide range of materials can be treated, with the aim of obtaining reduced energy inputs in full scale processing.

It is compact, user friendly and can be reconfigured for further research.
